Shot-stopper

Alphonse Areola (West Ham): The Hammers could have been trailing by six at Bournemouth if it wasn't for him. Crucial performance, stepped up and showed top ability. Excellent keeping to earn them a 2-2 draw. Defeat could have dismantled their whole season.

Defensive unit

Daniel Munoz (Crystal Palace): He's a contender for top performer. Fans mention Arsenal's squad. He's been the best performer by far.

Murillo (Nottingham Forest): You'd have been a wild optimist to say 'Murillo nets and we'll beat Liverpool 3-0 at Anfield'. You could have gotten long shots on that. He was excellent. He's becoming a powerhouse. He proves to be a handful. Pleased to see him playing as he did previously.

Malick Thiaw (Newcastle): I saw him several occasions the previous season in Italy for AC Milan and he struggled from his faults. Yet now he's impressed greatly. He's been great strength and forceful and appears graceful. It seems he has secured a perfect fit.

Ferdi Kadioglu (Brighton): Not naturally a left-back, more of a attacking-minded going forward. He has proven to be a wonderful signing for Brighton. Who would be surprised at them unearthing more talent unexpectedly? I thought when they got rid of Pervis Estupinan it was odd but the club is aware more than us.

Central players

Sander Berge (Fulham) and Elliot Anderson (Nottingham Forest): Similar players and they are selected for the identical cause. Their teams won, all discuss those who netted, but absent these individuals those teams don't click. They excel. They halt attacks, they support going forward.

Eberechi Eze (Arsenal): The standout performer. Many Arsenal fans, including my son, had doubts about his ability as the man to secure victory. A hat-trick in the local rivalry and currently fans desire to honor him permanently of him. Scoring, calmness, he controlled the game. The top performer on the pitch.

Morgan Rogers (Aston Villa): Possibly the only aspect I share with Thomas Tuchel on - he has reached a point now where it is extremely tough to drop Morgan Rogers. I felt his beginning was strong this campaign, I believe he acted with some expectation and hoped he might have got a move to Chelsea, and probably wanted that, but he seems to have settled down. Two great goals in the Leeds match helped his club from behind. He proved decisive.

Attackers

Callum Wilson (West Ham): I noted he appeared not his typical form. He looked like his pace had gone. But wow. Words fail me. He was excellent. Outstanding in his movement and with his two finishes.

Harvey Barnes (Newcastle): A very notable player. He plays well, often more effective when introduced, but Anthony Gordon has an injury so he has to play. He failed to convert a great opportunity against Manchester City at 0-0 with his most straightforward effort. But to have the mental fortitude to enter into tough scenarios and score twice was great.

Boss

Sean Dyche (Nottingham Forest): He arrives and surpasses Arne Slot. A superb tactical approach. It might have been five or six for Forest and few would dispute.
