Rob Edwards and Gary O'Neil Among Wolves Head Coach Candidates

Edwards and O'Neil are two of the initial candidates in the frame to replace the former manager as manager of Wolves.

The previous coach was sacked on the weekend following the squad's 10-match without a victory beginning to the top-flight campaign.

And Edwards and O'Neil - both of who have previous links to the club - are among the options to be considered by the club leadership.

Edwards is currently at Middlesbrough, which would pose a potential hurdle to his hiring at Molineux.

Nevertheless the ex- Luton head coach - who made more than 100 of games for Wolves during his time as a player - is said to be a leading contender for the vacancy.

The mid-career manager is said to have support from the club directors as they begin the search of hiring a new manager.

Gary O'Neil is additionally appearing as a surprise candidate, even though he would be a surprising choice considering he was released by Wolves in December last year.

The former West Ham midfielder is currently unemployed which means the club would not be required to pay any buyout fee.
