Comedian and author David Walliams lost his contract with publishing house.
Best-selling writer for children and comedian David Walliams has been dropped by his publisher HarperCollins UK, as confirmed by the firm.
A spokesman for the firm commented: "After careful consideration, and with the guidance of its fresh leadership, HarperCollins UK has decided not to publish future works by David Walliams."
Reports indicate that the decision was taken subsequent to an investigation into claims about questionable actions involving female individuals.
The firm has not elaborated on the motivations for this action, stating: "We refrain from speaking about internal matters."
A Prolific Literary Career
Walliams ranks among Britain's most best-selling authors for kids, with sales exceeding more than 60 million copies globally in 55 languages.
The debut children's novel from Walliams, *The Boy in the Dress*, came out under HarperCollins in 2008.
Some of his books, such as *Gangsta Granny* and *Billionaire Boy*, have also been adapted into television films.
He has published more than 40 books altogether, encompassing a Christmas book called *Santa & Son*, which came out under HarperCollins this past October.
A Dual Career
He first rose to fame on the TV sketch series *Little Britain* and has also won National Television Awards for his role as a panelist on *Britain's Got Talent*.
He was awarded an OBE back in 2017 honoring his contributions to philanthropic and artistic endeavors.
This move occurs subsequent to the appointment of Kate Elton as HarperCollins UK's freshly installed boss this past October.
